Jake,
Wow this post freaked me out even though I knew you were the one writing it. I can only imagine how panicked you and (probably especially) Ali must have been. I’m glad to hear all is well and that the heart attack was not caused by a blockage. Living a healthy lifestyle is truly a blessing to your loved ones as well as yourself.

I was appalled, but not surprised, to read about the food served to cardiac patients. Shame on the hospital for guaranteeing themselves more business from the patients they are currently “treating”. I noticed after giving birth at OSU that the food was awful for you and that the staff and patients who could move congregated at the Wendy’s on the main floor. Yuck.

Back to the point: I’m thrilled your family is safe and happy.

So glad to hear that things are going better for you. We were thinking about you and praying for you out here in SC, too. It was difficult for me to get medical information after 2-3 permutations, but I’m so happy that everything has resolved.

You and Ali have been in our prayers here in NC(where you all are welcome to come for a visit any time…). I can somewhat sympathize with you. I remember while being in the hospital in Denmark with a blood clot thinking I had significantly dropped the age and weight average of the unit. It’s crazy to be in that situation and think ‘What in the world just happened to me?!” Here’s to a speedy recovery and lots of future bike rides! (And no worries for Ali!)
